Catch up!

So I guess I just like blogging like every month. Who knows. Well, we're going to play some catch up!
Davin turned 2 on July 19th. Holy Cow. My baby is 2. I can't call him my baby anymore. He's my toddler I suppose. What a weird word. He is learning things so fast and picking up on things that I am constantly amazed by. He reminds up to say the prayer on food and he is the first to run for the scriptures at night. Those are the good things. Now the list of not so good things is much longer but I will not disclose them in case I ever ask you to watch my child. For example though: we sang "Happy Birthday" and he knew he was being sung to and that he needed to blow out the candles. It was adorable and I totally got teary eyed realizing my boy is growing up. Here he is, blowing out his candle. Thanks Carla for taking all these pics. I wouldn't have gotten them without you and I treasure them.

Davin cramming his cupcake down his throat. Thanks Carla for throwing Davin a party. Cupcake all over your floor! JK I cleaned it up. but it is nicer to clean up wood floor.

Davin unwrapping presents at birthday party #1. (friends aka 2nd family aka BFAM and some family-basically the fun bbq, swim party)

Davin got a RAZOR from Bryan's parents. The box says for ages 5 and up. Hahaha. That doesn't stop Davin I guess. Now I have to take this in my car everywhere we go.

Davin blowing out his 2nd birthday cake candles with Grandpa even though you can't see Grandpa in this picture. He shares his birthday with Bryan's dad.
Davin eating his 2nd birthday cake! (Bryan's family)
Davin unwrapping his gifts at birthday party #3. (My family) Thanks Heather for sharing your birthday party with Davin.
My Aunt Sari likes to mess with me so she wrapped Davin's present (which is the most adorable polo) in a Vici's bag. Haha
Davin's birthday visit from LIGHT boys, Michael, Ben, Sam and Adam. They sang to him even though it was more for me. Thanks boys!
Davin finds every ball in a house and brings them into the family room. No matter where we are. See...

My friend, Taryn, had her 23rd birthday! Her birthday is the day after Davin's. It was fun to get the friends together and to find out that Sheena and Shawna are both expecting. Someday I'll join them. Hopefully sooner than later.

Again, Bryan can't take a serious pic.
Got milk? Gross I know.

I directed another summer workshop. it was lots of fun. I love working with Lauren and Alexis and Mitch! This is some of the kids at practice. They were a great bunch!

This is what I woke up to the other morning. I wasn't feeling well and Bryan got up with Davin and built this: The most amazing geo tracks set up Bryan has made to date. I am grateful he is so willing to set this thing up over and over again for Davin to play with and then destroy. Davin loves it.

We went to the zoo this last weekend with some friends. It was called "Starry Safari". It was really neat, they had elephants and giraffes that the kids could pet. Too bad we kept getting to the individual exhibits as they closed. Oh well. The weather was actually nice for Arizona in August. We had Ocean Blue afterwards so of course we went to bed happy.
(I don't know why I like this pic of Bryan but I do, random yes I know)
The boys with the kids on their shoulder up close and personal with the elephant. You can't see it cuz it was dusk, but the elephant is right up next to them sticking its trunk over the bar thing. There was of course a zoo staff person there. The kids loved it.
Matt and Alyssa had their 3rd child Saturday morning at 6:05 am. His name is Braedon Edward Minson. 5 pounds 15 ounces, 19 inches. Basically, he is half of what Davin was. He is adorable and already sleeps through his brother and sister being loud. Perfect!
Alyssa is so stinking cute. Even after having a baby. I love the awesome Hospital Lighting. (and I love Carla making faces at Braedon in the background) This is when we were in lock down. So you know how the baby wears the little bracelet thing that will set off an alarm if someone takes it from the floor. Well, it also sets off the alarm if you stand 20 feet away from the alarm for 5 minutes or longer. But they don't tell you that. All I know is, no one can get in or out. Not even the doctor standing on the other side of the door. You would think they would have a secret entrance for them but they don't. DON'T SET OFF THE ALARM>THE NURSES ARE NOT HAPPY WITH YOU. It was still fun to see them though.
