As, usual, we met as a family at Timmy's grave for his birthday.
I decided to jazz it up a little and brought a cupcake cake and had asked his friends to send him birthday cards that we then read to Timmy.
We wrote messages, listened to a story from each of us, sang "God Be With You Till We Meet Again" and let balloons off as usual. We then sang "Happy Birthday" and let the kids blow out the candles.
We finished by getting dinner and finding a really neat park nearby and had a picnic and let the kids play. We talked as adults and we stopped to look over at Lauren playing with the kids. She was leaving for her mission in a couple of days and was really struggling with saying goodbye to her nieces and nephews. It was so incredible to sit and watch my little sister's love for these kids. I am so grateful for an incredible tight and loving family and that we have stayed close to home.
