After the party, Bryan and his family went to see "True Grit" and I took the kids home. They did not want to do quiet time and it was a crazy couple of hours. Being the procrastinator that I am, I had waited until Christmas Day to learn the solo my dad asked to me to sing at the Temple Christmas Lights that evening. So, needless to say, with two kids that didn't want to sleep and trying to learn a song, I was frazzled when I met Bryan to give him the kids and run to warm up at the Temple.
I calmed down though, eventually. It was such an incredible opportunity to be asked to sing at the Temple Lights on Christmas night. I have sung there many times but never been honored with Christmas night. There were so many friends and family members there to support us which meant so much more on Christmas. My song ended up going fine but I wish I could have done my best. Nevertheless, the night ended with Heather, Lauren and I singing our arrangement of "Oh Holy Night". I am so grateful for the most beautiful song ever to sing with my sisters. It was an incredible feeling and I hope I never forget the powerful spirit and the feeling of joy from the holiday season I felt in those moments.
hope you guys had a good christmas!
