Halloween

We had a great Halloween this year. It was fun that Davin actually knew what was going on somewhat. We had previously gone to the pumpkin patch. On Wednesday, Davin had a Halloween party at preschool and we had my mom and dad's Halloween Carnival that night. This is like the best part of Halloween. It is fun to see friends from growing up with their families and catch up. Its like a mini-reunion of the ward every year. Davin had a blast with his cousins and did not want to get off the bounce house and leave when it was time. Cade and Carson were super awesome and responsible with Davin. There are lots of people and they would hold Davin's hand everywhere they went so he wouldn't get lost.
Thursday, we craved pumpkins with Bryans family. Bryan and Davin carved a "surf board" or mummy tomb, Natalie a cat and I tried to make a Mickey with an outline from the internet. It was okay-stick with the books. Friday we of course had Matt's football game and Saturday morning, Davin had a soccer game. Saturday there was primary program practice which was hilarious and later that evening was the ward trunk or treat.
(Mikey dressed up as the kid from UP for work at the bank. He won the costume contest.)
Sunday we went to church and after quiet time, we Davin and Brielle dressed up and headed to Bryan's parents. We stopped by Great-Grandpa's on the way. We had a tasty dinner and were off to Heather and Steve's Halloween party. It was a little crazy. They had all of Steve's family, all of Heather/my family and some friends and their families from their ward. There were like 30 kids and 25 kids. Thank goodness they have a big house and a big back yard! It actually was not too crazy until the boys started with the swords for a while. Davin had a lot of fun. We even took the kids trick or treating around the block. Davin went last year but it finally clicked this year. It was hilarious to watch him run to the doors and try and say "trick or treat", get so excited when he got candy that he started running away, catch himself, run back and say "thank you". He did this at nearly every door. I guess the candy was just that exciting time and time again.
We had a great Halloween. I didn't get a pic of Brielle-she was a princess for the ward thing and a lady bug on Halloween. Davin, of course, was Mario all week long.
