Church Ball and Stitches

Bryan has been playing Elder's Quorum Basketball. Even though I would never tell him this, I was just waiting for the phone call to inform me of whatever injury he would get. I was expecting concussion, blew out his knee again, broken jaw-so when I got a call saying he got popped in the forehead and needed stitches, I was somewhat relieved. The only problem-it was 10:30 pm and he was bleeding so bad, he couldn't drive. (ok-I totally made Bryan sound like a wimp-its actually the opposite-he plays tough and hard and when you're in the middle of all the rebounds and physical stuff, I guess it just makes sense you get hurt more than when you skirt around the edge)

It ended up being one of the worst nights ever. NextCare out in Chandler was the only Urgent Care open. They are ridiculously incompetent. They asked a million questions that had nothing to do with anything, needed to take some English classes and then to top it off-Davin started throwing up while we were there. (They wanted to treat him too-I told them it was okay-I was not letting them touch my son-I was pretty for sure it was strep anyways and knew he could last till the morning. Oh and I was right, he did have strep.)

Bryan felt horrible that he caused such a ruckus. Next time, we'll know we just need to wake up one of our mom's to drive or stay home with the sleeping children! All in all, Bryan got 4 stitches but where the cut was didn't really allow for good anesthesia so he felt most of the stitching. He said it just felt weird-it was his first time getting stitches besides his knee surgery. I am just grateful his brother, Jeff, can take out the stitches for us and that we don't have to go back. I can't wait till Jeff is an actual Dr and we can just go see him instead.

(Here is our midnight shot oh and sorry Bryan is so sweaty and gross in all the pics)
Bryan says he's retiring from Elder's Ball-I told him he is not. He loves playing and he is good. He just doesn't want a repeat. I told him it won't be so bad next time. I hope he continues to play.
