Halloween Crafts

I did some crafting last night. Life doesn't get better than crafting and watching The Office. Thanks Marci for the craft kits! They are super cute and were way easy. You did a great job.

Zoo

We went to the zoo this Wednesday with some friends. It was a lot of fun and best of all, it was free. The weather was great and we had a lot of fun. The animals were even out and running around. They even are happy the heat is on its way out. I tried to take pics with Davin multiple times and this was the only one that semi came out good.

Westin Kierland Resort

So we went to the Westin Kierland Resort a couple weekends ago for Friday night and Saturday. I only took like 3 pics while we were there. We had two rooms so we brought Heather and her family with us. It was a lot of fun for all the cousins to be together. There was a really fun water park and it was a wonderful weekend.

Tramps

I am so grateful for our tramp. Its the best babysitter. It even zips and clips them in. They don't even realize they're in a cage.

So, LIGHT had a long rehearsal over Labor Day and learned competition stuff. We flew is a choregrapher from the south by the name of Gates. Funny-he grew up with Lance Bass from N'Sync. Don't worry though-Gates is straight. The kids loved working with him and it was a lot of fun to watch.

We did 3 numbers but this is just one of them. This is at the end of a 10 hour rehearsal and a long weekend so the kids brains are a little fried. This song is by the Who or Elton John or something. I don't really know. I get confused. Its going to be a cool competition set though.

Bailey's Birthday Party

So my bro-in-law, Jeff, got lonesome at medical school and bought a dog. He and his wife love that dog and she turned 1. We had a birthday party for her and yes, they even had ice cream cones that were dog biscuit treat things. It was hilarious. Davin loved it. I don't think he realizes the big difference between dogs and humans yet.

Frost's Swim/BBQ

Our friends had a swim and BBQ party a couple weeks ago. It was a lot of fun. We had Elk meat hamburgers! Yummy. Here are just two pics of the fun we had in the pool. Thanks Kent and Amy! (and Shelly and Lonnie for hosting!)

Carousel

Davin and I went to the KidsClub at the mall a couple weeks ago and ran into Meagan Richardson. It was so fun to talk and catch up and ride the carousel together with our boys. Isn't Tyler so adorable?

Matt's One and Only Football Game This Year

My little Brother, Matt, moved in with us for the next 2 school years so he could go to Higley High School. He practiced with the Football Team and was quarterback and safety. The day before the scrimage game, the AIA decided that Matt can't play this year and that he will have to sit out till next. This is a rule put in place so kids won't transfer to play at a power house. Dumb-cuz Matt totally transferred from Mesa who is competitive 5A Div 1 to Higley 4A Div 2. So lame.
Needless to say, we all went to his one and only game which wasn't really a game cuz it was a scrimage and they are different. It was still fun to watch him play though. Totally bummin though cuz we all love going.
Lauren left the next day so we took some pics with her before she went up to the Y. Heather's baby Caslynn is too cute, is she not?

Lauren's Off to BYU again

Lauren left for BYU this past week. I always hate when they leave even though I know they are going to have so much fun. It stunk every time Timmy left for the Y (especially the last time) and it stinks every time Lauren leaves. At least this semester, I'll see her a couple of times. Until Thanksgiving then!

My grandma Nancy always takes us ladies of the Filichia Family out to lunch before the school year starts and Lauren leaves at Gecko Grille. It is so yummy and fun. Thank you grandma. I am already looking forward to next year!

Home Depot, Mystery Murder Dinner Theatre & My First Ticket

My little brother, Matt, moved in with us so he could attend Higley High School. We have Davin's nursery and his big boy room across the hall from our room. We still wanted both set up this way and to have Matt further away from us so we went ahead and enclosed our loft. We'd been playing with the idea ever since we moved in. Our awesome friend, Darren, can do anything and he did it for us. Well, it still needs to be painted but that's another story. I'll post pictures later, nevertheless, we made many trips to Home Depot and thank goodness for their awesome carts for kids. Davin and Haylie loved it!

Our friend, Amy, celebrated her 26th birthday. We went out for a girls night to a Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre in Phoenix. Don't go-its a waste. The food is okay but they don't give you much and the entertainment was rather crude and silly. It was fun being with Amy and Carla and everyone else though. Happy Birthday Amy! and thank you to our husbands that watched out kids.

On the way home from the dinner theatre, I got my first ticket. I saw the officer following me and I was wondering what was going on. Well, needless to say, Bryan and I kinda forgot to register the Acura (which I was driving). We had done the plate transfer from the Civic and thought we were fine-at least I did. Well, I was spotlighted by three cars, pulled over and asked to get out of the car while the officer was holding hand cuffs. The officer believed I didn't steal my own car when he saw the license plate said my last name (even though it was still registered to the Civic) and I had insurance on the car. He let me go with a ticket. I registered the car that Monday and am hoping the judge will have mercy and throw out the ticket. I asked him why out of all the cars on the highway, he decided to run my plates. The officer said, "Cuz your car attracts attention and I want one for myself". So, FYI-if you buy an Acura RSX, register it.
