Chicago

In the middle of March, I was able to fly over to Chicago for another LIGHT competition. The group had been there since Monday, but my bro-in-law, Steve and I flew in on Thursday. It was so much fun. I wish Steve could have brought my sister Heather and I brought Bryan. Steve and I just kinda did our own thing for the most part. We had a rental car and we drove around looking for Dunkin' Donuts and Wendy's. We had fun rehearsing. The best part was rooming with the kids. I had Jessica Mendenhall, Chelsea Mortensen, Jenny Hakes, Kaitlin McGrath and Alexis Flake in my room. Alexis and I were bed buddies. I felt like I was 17 again. It was so much fun but coming home and having to get back to the responsibility of being a mother aka feeding Davin, bathing Davin, changing diapers, cleaning, etc etc was a lot harder than I thought it was going to be. I missed my Davin William and my Bryan so much though. I am so grateful for the opportunity I had to go though. It was a ton of fun chillin with Steve, my mom dad and bro Matt and all the kids in LIGHT. I will never forget watching them rehearse their show in the pool the morning of competition. I thought someone was going to drown. (JK-we would never have put the kids in that type of danger) It was hilarious.
