YAY! Finally some heartbreaking good news. Davin went in for his swallow test (MBS) on Tuesday morning, which he failed again. We knew this was going to happen. There is no way Davin is sitting in that cramped spot, strapped down and going to joyfully and willingly drink a chalky drink and not move an inch! It's crazy anyone can do that.
SO, we were worried that the Pulmonologist was going to drag his feet on the Bronchoscopy. We didn't have to worry long though: Phoenix Children's Hospital called today! The Bronchoscopy is scheduled for July 7th with a follow up on the 8th with the Dr. As much as it is going to kill me watch them stick my son with an iv, sedate him and shove a camera tube down his nose and throat into his lungs, I am so grateful we are finally able to do it. Better than this than another pneumonia episode and three days in the hospital over and over and over again!
Also, the Dr's office called and let me know they are really pushing my insurance to pay for the liquid thickeners we have been purchasing out of pocket because it is medically necessary. I would really like to not have to pay ~$300/month on those thickener packets.
I am so grateful we finally took Davin to Phoenix Children's-we have finally found Doctors that know what they are talking about, are efficient, nice and well, are getting Davin better. Thank you Thank you!

Filichia Family Swim & Pizza Party
We had a fun Family night on Monday with my family. My family is so crazy busy, its so hard to get everyone together at once. It was nice to all be together. I love this pic of Davin leaning on my mom's arm.
Davin is insisting on being a grown up and using cups but refusing help. RRRRrrrr
Matt and Lauren got in a water fight. Over what? Uh, cuz Matt said he wanted to go with all the girls and see 17 Again cuz he thinks Zac Efron is hot. He was joking but somehow it ensued a water fight. This is them afterward, drenched.
This is a pic from shopping last Saturday but I had to put it in
Bryan didn't really buy that hat

Summer Workshop
We had our annual LIGHT Entertainer's workshop. Well, all disaster hit the day before it started with my dad's dance studio flooding. The hot water heater exploded. So we worked on the small side of the studio until the day of the performance and we were allowed to use our church which the air didn't work too well in. Even though there was a ton of craziness, it was a super fun week with the 12 girls. Here is Alexis teaching her number "Forget About the Boy" from Thoroughly Modern Millie.
Here are the girls in the performance. They did such a super great job.
I was so grateful for the time I was able to spend with two of my favorite people during the workshop. Lauren, Alexis and I were the teachers and everything went so smoothly, you would have thought we'd done this together a million times.
We had a lot of fun together. I am so grateful for my little sister, Lauren and my good friend, Alexis. Love you girls!
GOOD LUCK ALEXIS!
Water
Davin loves water. He craves it.
He knows what it means when I say "Fountain" or "Swim". He will undress himself and take off his diaper and go and grab a Little Swimmer and towel.
We tried out the Mesquite Aquatic Center pool. It was really awesome but maybe a little too busy for Davin. And of course it was a day of 86 degree temp and a slight breeze. Hard to get in and out.
He shivers when he's wet whether or not he is cold I am convinced.
Nevertheless, if water is involved, Davin is excited.

Summer Catch Up #2
Dallin Ellingson and Laura LeSueur's Wedding Reception w/ Taryn. Congrats Dallin and Laura! Totally cute that you fell in love with the boy next door but he will always be my buddy. Taryn-You're Gorgeous.
Ice Cream. McDonald's: Hate your food, makes me feel so sick. Love your 69 cent ice cream.
I should have him wear this shade of blue everyday. I love his eyes.
Daddy and Davin. Oh how I love them both

Park w/ Friends
So there is a new build community that went out of business about a mile and a half from our house. Lucky for us, the first things communities build are the parks. Yes, we went to the abandoned park. It was fun and its still being taken care of so we weren't worried about spiders. We grabbed a Little Caesar's Pizza and chilled. There are no pictures of Carla, her son Bryan, my brother Matt and I but we were there supervising our children, I promise. Davin and Hailey in the club house. This thing looked like something right out of Crash Bandicoot the video game.
On the Deck.
What is the proper name for these things that are at every park?
This was the steepest slide of all time. Maybe that's the reason no one bought the homes here and they went out of business. If they were put together as stupidly as some of this play stuff was. There were just random rocks for the kids to play on. Who does that? And as you can see on the left side of the picture, there were holes in stuff already.
At least we had the park to ourselves though. Our kids loved it and I didn't have to deal with neighborhood punk kids.

Summer Catch Up #1
So, we're been busy. A lot of random stuff has gone on this summer. Nothing of tremendous importance but enough to keep us busy.
Here's Jessica (sis-in law) blowing out her candles for her birthday. Her and Jeff finally closed on their house this last week. Jeff takes his boards for med school tomorrow and then he will be home forever from U of A. YAY!
Davin's contemplated look staring out the window at our neighbors as he so lovely eats his Italian lunch. Gotta love the eyes.
My brother Matt in his passing league. He is Mesa High's Juniors' team quarterback. Its a lot of fun to go and watch these games cuz its all offense. Mountain View's coach is already recruiting Davin. He saw him throw a football 15 feet as a two year old, walked over and started asking me a ton of questions. Hopefully it stays this way. (Matt is the one on the right, if you look close, you can see the football in the air.)
Here is Krystal, Taryn and I at Taryn's graduation party. Way to go my college grad friends! I have an associates, someday I'll figure out what I want to do and will go back. It is so fun to be with them both again. I miss my best friends.
Bryan and Davin working in the backyard. So we were totally excited that our backyard wasn't dirt when we moved in. We now wish otherwise. Pulling out desert landscaping is a lot of work and expensive to dispose of. Davin thinks he is such a big helper and takes it very seriously.
