Memorial Day/Cade's 8th Birthday

For Memorial Day, my family got together and had a swim and barbeque party. It was a lot of fun. I am so grateful for my awesome family. Here is Davin and his cousin Carson. They are so similar in so many ways. I think its adorable.Since we were all together, we decided to celebrate Cade's birthday that is in a week. Here he is with an awesome Star Wars Lego Set.Happy Birthday Cade!

SHOW LOW TRIP

We were able to go to Show Low last weekend for Bryan's cousin, Hayden's graduation, and Brittnee's baby shower. We started off having a lot of fun. Davin loves Sonic slushies.Sleepy TimeBasketball and a Trampoline! Does life get better? Not in Davin's world. Davin and our graduate, Hayden.
The fun eventually ended when Davin raised a temp of 103 and we couldn't get it to break. We went to Urgent Care then the ER then he was admitted. 2 days later, an IV, lots of blood work and tests, the hospital released Davin not really knowing still what caused his high unrelenting temp.
We had about 3 hours to hang out with family before we had to head home. Aren't you just so jealous of our trip? HAHA

Cylee's Birthday & American Idol

Happy 1st Birthday to Cylee!
After the pool party, the B-FAM (Brother from another Mother or just like 2nd family) came over to our house for an American Idol Party.

RRRRRrrrr

Davin loves his dog.He wanted to get Vixen a treat. He gave her the whole box. She's a good dog though and knows that there is no way I would ever give her a box of treats. She ate one and layed down on her pet bed. I wish she were always that smart.

Caslynn's Blessing

Heather and Steve's Baby, Caslynn, was blessed a couple of weeks ago. It was really nice and beautiful.
Great Grandma Connie with Casi.Me and Casi. She wasn't loving me as I was her. She wanted her mom and dinner!She wore Heather's blessing dress. How perfect!

Babysitting

A couple weekends ago, our friends Darren and Carla were able to go to the Brian Regan concert. We went last year and we were so excited for them to go. This was their first real date since they had Baby Bryan. We watched Hailey and Bryan for them.
Well, my good friend, Krystal just graduated with her Master's in Accounting and she had a party. Bryan was so sweet. He watched Hailey and Davin while I went. I know he would have liked to have gone to Krystal's party too. They have become such good friends through the years. It was really fun that they were able to take Accounting classes together too.When I came home, I was so grateful for Bryan. Davin and Hailey were crazy. I took them up for bathes, gave them bottles and soon after... Even Bryan fell asleep!

Wrestling

Why do guys like to wrestle so much?My brother, Matt, and Bryan trying to prove their manhood by wrestling. Davin and Matt's girlfriend, Ashley, cheering them on. Well, at least Davin is cheering. I think Ashley agrees with me in my utter confusement as to why they like hurting one another.

Swimming w/ the Nichols

Thursday night, we went and joined the Nichols in some swim time. It was really nice outside and the water felt great. Cozette and Donovan are so nice to Davin and he loves playing with them. I really enjoy Astrid. She is a good friend and I am grateful for our friendship.Cozette was baptized this Saturday. It was a lovely baptism and we are so proud of her and her decision.

Family Night

For family night, we started off with a bike ride and a visit to the pool. Davin and his Dad played lots of games and did a lot of laughing.
Davin is such a stinkin' cute kid. We are so blessed to have him in our lives.

Bikes...Bikes...and more Bikes

Somehow when it got really hot outside, Davin discovered bikes. We have had our trailer for a while but he routinely goes out in the garage now and sits in his trailer until mom or dad take him for a ride.
He gets all his gear on. Helps Daddy load upHe even wears Dad's biking gloves and helmet in the trailer. He wants to be just like his Dad. I'm glad.

Family Par-Tay!

LIGHT Party

We had our LIGHT end of the year party last weekend. It was a lot of fun. Davin loves to swim.
This is my friend, Alexis FIake and I. Alexis is a senior and was in LIGHT but she's my long lost best friend minus 5 years. I am so glad she was in LIGHT.
Davin and Bryan were worn out and fell asleep before they made it to their beds.
Hooray for a great night!

Nice Lady at Target

We were at Target the other day and this really nice lady bought Davin two Hot Wheels cars.

Cooling Down

Davin and his dog love cooling off on the tile. Weird huh? Bonding time I guess. You think its monkey see monkey do but its really just Davin see Davin do.

Fountains!

Davin loves the fountains. We went to the mall with Carla, Hailey and Baby Bryan and had a lot of fun. It's totally crazy. Last year, Davin crawled up and down the stairs cuz he was nervous of falling. This year he is so big he can walk and hold the rail and he isn't afraid of anything!Freezing after having fun. Is it possible to shiver when its 100 degrees out? I guess so

Wrestling Daddy

Davin and his dad love to wrestle.It all starts with a lovely walk home from the park.
Then Daddy starts getting rough.Then Davin reacts.,
Davin knows how to put his dad in a head lock thanks to his Uncle Matt.
It always ends with loves though and lots of laughs.

Bath Time

The Griffith's came over tonight for Family Night. I am so grateful for our good friends. Our kids play so well and it is so easy to be around them. Well, we ate dinner and let the kids play out back and then it was bath time. I apologize in advance if you find this objectionable. It was hilarious.
Bubbles are a must. Little Einstein bubbles are preferred. Good thing we remembered them at Target today.We have bath markers. We decided to mark our children by writing their names on their backs. Davin got "DAV" before we gave up.Haylie just got an "H" after we realized Davin's "DAV" wasn't coming off too well.The markers are pretty cool. The kids can write on anything and it will wipe off with water. I wish the kids would sit down more but they prefer the wall when exploring with these water markers. Oh well, it was cute and they had a lot of fun. It made bath time a lot more fun for Carla and I, too.

Yummy Cake

All hail Yummy Cake!!! You know how there are just things that only your mom can do? This is one of those things.
My mom makes a homemade cake we named Yummy Cake and it is perfectly named. I could eat it every day and still think its Yummy. Davin loves it. This is my tribute to my mom's Yummy Cake. Thank you Mom for showing me what a cake that's worth the calories and grams of fat tastes like.

Dog Park

We love the dog park. Well, Vixen loves the dog park and we love it cuz she gets all her energy out and wipes out at home.
Now, we go to the dog park a lot but I have to archive this visit to tell of the most disgusting thing I have ever witnessed at the dog park.

There is a section of the dog park that has a man-made lake for the dogs to swim in and get gross in. No joke-there was a family there swimming with their dog. Ew. The mom had a camera out-that thought it was so cute. I mean maybe their kids fell in or had to go save a dog or something-NO. They had towels, this was planned. What the? and people are surprised that Swine Flu has passed from pigs to people. Just go down to your local dog park and you'll see why. Crazy people.

Friday Night DATE Night!

Friday night is date night but who says you can't bring your kid with you? We have such a hard time leaving Davin with anyone. We just love being with our stinker. Now, don't get me wrong, when we went and saw Wolverine on Saturday, that was a must-leave Davin with Grandma time but dinner is exciting with Davin. Friday, we decided to go to one of my favorites: Chili's.
We said, "Davin, let's go get in the car" and he grabbed my keys, ran to the car, got in and put them in the ignition. Scary. Kids learn way too fast these days.
He started out in a high chair at Chili's (look at that smirk)
worked his way onto the booth next to Dad
And ultimately ended up in his dad's lap helping feed his father. It was a fun night.
