Reflections of Christ

I was given the opportunity to help assemble a choir for the first Reflections of Christ CD. It was such an incredible experience with wonderful music and powerful music. I am so grateful that Jason Barney asked me back to again get together a choir of singers. We started recording this last week. The music is gorgeous and the photos are so touching. The first collection of photos were of Christ in the New Testament whereas these are of Christ in 3rd Nephi. Mark even went to Honduras for the photography. These pictures really capture Christ's personal relationships with his disciples as well as individuals. I know everyone will really like them when they release for everyone to see as well as love the music that has been written. This is my sister, Heather and I. Its so much fun singing with my sisters. Recording is exhausting though even if you are just singing ooo and aaaa. 5 hours on your feet and concentrating is a long time. I wouldn't pass it up for anything though.
I love my Baby Grand piano, but anytime I get to play a Yamaha Grand Piano, I'm taking it.

Fossil Springs

We went to Fossil Springs this last weekend. It was a lot of fun and conveniently only 3 miles from Bryan's Granny. We have hiked Fossil numerous times just never this late into summer. It was hot. We hiked a different way though so it was only a little over a mile compared to 3 1/2. Davin is outgrowing the hiking backpack though. The water is so cool and clear. So beautiful.
Davin seemed to like it. He was more unsure about it then we thought he would be. Usually he's really comfortable in water and wants to stay in forever. I think it was a little too cold for him.

relaxing in Granny's hammock BEFORE the hike

relaxing in Granny's swing after the hikeWe went out to a nice steak dinner in Payson. Next door was the movie theatre that has mechanical horses. Davin loves riding them and they are still a quarter a ride in Payson. Nice.

4th of July

We had a really fun 4th of July. I was so grateful for Bryan having Friday off to spend with the Davin and I. Saturday, we had a swim and bbq at my parents'. Bryan's family, my family and friends were there. I love that my family has the "more the merrier" attitude. There were people everywhere and hot but so fun. Their pool is a 10 foot pool so it was still cool and not too warm unlike the shallower pools that have heated up.
The boys playing basketball. They call it dunk ball and it gets pretty crazy. Davin chillin' in the water.Later that night, we went to a park with the Griffith's and played some frisbee and basketball. It was mostly to wear out our kids so they would sit for fireworks. Here's a pic of Bryan and I:he cannot take a serious picture I don't think. It drives me crazy. This is the best of the ten I took. I gave up trying to get him to just "smile normal".Matt came with us for fireworks. He's so fun and Davin adores him.
I don't know what effect my camera was on but it looks kinda cool. Davin caught on pretty well to frisbee. The fireworks were great and it was a wonderful 4th of July!

Davin's Bronchoscopy

Davin had his Bronchoscopy last Tuesday. They stuck a tube down through his nose, down the throat and into his lungs. They didn't find anything physically that they could surgically repair to stop the aspirating. Its good I guess, no surgery but I was really hoping that a trachea would be slightly larger than the other or something so they could do the surgery and this would be all over. But thats not the case. We will have medical bills forever=no money ever. Davin did awesome. When we woke up after the procedure, it wasn't good. He was crazy. They had a specific word for it but basically, he woke up before the meds for him to out of it really wore off so he felt weird, couldn't really control himself or think and he just screamed for like half an hour. He pretty much tore out his iv and had a panic attack. The only thing that calmed him down finally was taking the iv out, getting him out of the hospital gown and dressed his clothes. He's been in a hospital enough that he knows this means he's finally going home. How sad.The last thing to eat the night before:a cupcakeDaddy and Davin ready to go!Phoenix Children's Hospital is so stinkin smart. Yes, it is an old hospital but they have toys everywhere! Waiting for the op room was a lot easier with 10 kids movies to choose from and a huge playroom for just Davin and 2 other kids.
After being released, life got a lot better when the lady at Chase Bank gave Davin a sucker

A little Prayer

Please keep a little prayer in your heart tomorrow for my wonderful Davin. He's havin his bronchoscopy at 10:15 am and has to be heavily sedated which is always so scary. I know everything will be all right and its the best, but I'm really having a hard time with this. Keep me in your thoughts too that I'll be able to stay composed. More than anything, please remember Davin in your prayers:for his safety and that they'll find an answer. Thanks.

Carla's Birthday

Carla's birthday was July 2nd. She decided to try and get everything free possible. So, she went to Crispy Creme and got her free dozen. We went to Joe's Real BBQ for her free dinner. It was a really fun triple date with the Frost's and Griffith's.
Then, we went to Dave & Buster's cuz Carla got free tokens for her BDay. It was so much fun. We ended the night with Cold Stone, where again, Carla got free ice cream. Happy Birthday!UsDarren & CarlaCarla & Bryan shooting hoops.I won Deal or No Deal on my first and only try. I picked my lucky number and it had the 300 tickets (the highest possible). I never gave up on my wonderful number 6. Natalie, this picture is for you.We got enough tickets to get Davin a kickball. He knows basketball, football, soccer and baseball so I guess kickball is next. He thought it was so cool and yes, that is chocolate ice cream on his face at nine thirty at night. We are the best parents-hahaha

Griffith BBQ

We had a BBQ with Griffith's last Saturday night. Taylor Searle dropped by for a bit. We had so much food! It was fun to relax. While we were relaxing, the kids found potting soil and were creative. I guess Davin's creativity involved Hailey.Davin felt no remorse.

Random

I just love these pics.Davin sleeping in his car. He shifts his weight and makes the whole thing tilt. It drives me crazy. The arm and leg are the best though.Davin and Carson playing. Davin adores his cousin and will mimic whatever Carson does. He has never before even taken the slightest interest in GameBoy until Carson got his out.

Cade's Baptism

Cade was recently baptized on June 20th by his father. It was so neat to have all the family for him there. My sister and his mother, Heather, gave a really neat talk. I really enjoyed how she focused on them and gearing the talk towards them. She asked them questions and what was more important, she asked questions they didn't always know the answers to. Afterward, we had a beautiful luncheon. I mean beautiful when I use that adjective. Heather has such a way of making everything look perfect. The food color coordinated with the platters and well, she's amazing. I had a lot of fun making homemade lemonade with my Aunt Sari. She makes me laugh so hard. All in all, the day was wonderful and even though Davin is young, I hope he remembers this day when its time for him to be baptized.

Ward Luau

For Enrichment, my ward put on a Luau for the sisters. It was really neat. We had Hawaiian food and had some awesome live entertainment. They even had us go up and dance.
I am grateful for a fun ward and for the good friends I have here.Heather-Megan-Katrina (who moved recently :( )-Lauren-myselfHolly-Me-MarlaAmy-Me
