Utah Trip Fall 2008

This fall, LIGHT went on tour to Utah and we were able to go with them. It was a lot of fun. We only drove to Kanab the first day and did a workshop with Kanab High School and the BYU You Ambassadors. It was really neat for the kids to see Jeanette who had been in LIGHT with some of them now in YA's. We were also given the opportunity to watch the YA's that night. They are incredible. Davin loved it and watched every second on my lap. Everyone wishes they had a one year old that would act like him all the time.

The next day we drove up to Salt Lake and spent time at the Music Dance Theatre studio on BYU campus. We did a workshop with some of the MDT kids that Lauren (my sister) has been able to get to know up at the Y. Davin sported his awesome puff jacket and he and his Dad walked over to watch some of the football game going on.


We were able to spend time on Temple Square, Welfare Square, and lots of other places. It was rainy in Utah is my only complaint. The LIGHT kids are so good with Davin. They play and play and play with him. The best was on Sunday night. The kids had done a fireside and we were getting ready to eat. Sam loose and Thomas Brower and some other boys were playing with Davin and they were pretending like they were frogs and hopping all over the place. Davin was running all around and laughing up a storm. It was hilarious.

The kids gave great performances and a wonderful fireside. Its a lot of work but LIGHT is very worth the time.

Halloween 2008

This past Halloween was a lot of fun. We kind of had 3 Halloweens. We had our ward trunk or treat on Tuesday, Grandma and Grandpa Filichia's ward carnival on Wednesday and then Heather and Steve's Halloween party and Trick or Treating on Halloween. Davin had a lot of fun hanging out with his cousins. Davin was a football player. Cade as Link from Zelda. Carson was a Red Power Ranger. And Cami was Annie from Little Einsteins. It will be more fun next year though when Davin will actually realize what is going on and the concept of Trick or Treating

Christmas Ornament Painting Party 2008

We had the 2nd Annual Christmas Ornament Painting Party this last Saturday night. It was a lot of fun and I gave myself a tummy ache eating too many of Taryn's incredible ginger cookies with cream cheese frosting. The kids had a lot of fun painting ornaments and playing and the guys had fun burning things in the fire pit. The BYU bowl game was pathetic though and I wish I would have just shut it off. The pics are of Taryn, Taffy and Brock painting ornaments,my friend Holly Boltz and I, Kent and Amy painting and Richard and Jillian. I am so grateful for good friends.

ZOOLIGHTS 2008

Tonight, we went to Zoolights as a family. We joined Heather's and Steve's clan. The weather was perfect. I don't know what those weather man think they are talking about-talk of rain. We got like two drops. Well, the lights were awesome. I am grateful for our tradition of Zoolights every year at Christmastime. After Zoolights, we went to Bryan's parents. Davin discovered a flashlight. He thinks he is in heaven. I think I will get him one for his stocking. He was dancing all around the room and trying to catch the light. It was adorable. I am so grateful for our stinking cute Davin. This is a pic from last year, I thought I would put it on though cuz I didn't take any pics tonight.
